High School...Good Times!

1. Did you date someone in high school? I went on dates but never had a boyfriend (although I would have gladly let Cameron take that role)
2. What kind of car did you drive? My parents' 15-passenger van. It was the only automatic we had and I was afraid of driving stick.
3. Did you pass your driver's license test the first time? yes
4. Were you a party animal? No...far from it.
5. Were you considered a flirt? No. I didn't discover this wonderful tool until I was in college. I was too self-conscious in high school.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? No...in middle school I played the clarinet and bass clarinet
7. Were you a nerd? Not sure...I don't think so.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? Volleyball, Track (does that count?), and I was a wrestling cheerleader my senior year
9. Did you ever get suspended or expelled? No.
10...?...What is question 10?
11. Who were your favorite teachers? I liked all my teachers...but the ones I enjoyed learning from the most were Mr. Bessey for Algebra 2 and Mr. Lund for Chemistry. Both were funny.
12. Where did you sit at lunch? the Lunchroom (hello? Where else do you get to eat a well balanced, delicious meal?)
13. School mascot: Templars
14. School colors: Red and White
15. Did you go to homecoming and who with? Jr. year- Sam Fife and Sr. year- Kyle Hansen. Both were a lot of fun.
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Yes. I would be more like I was in college and be more out-going and friendly...even be friends with boys. ha ha I also would do it again to play volleyball. That was the best!
17. What do you remember most about graduation? The ceremony went well...and afterwards, the party was at Snow College's Activity Center. I remember being more myself and hanging out with lots of friends - including boys (Cam was one of them...we played volleyball together....tingles...)
18. Where did you go on Senior Skip Day? Lagoon - I love the water snake ride...whatever that one is called.
19. Were you in any clubs? no
20. Have you gained weight since then? yes, from being pregnant, but I've lost it now.
21. Who was your prom date? Jr. Spencer Lund, Sr. Craig Brown from Gunnison
22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? You bet - that is, if we have one...we haven't had our 5 year yet (are we supposed to?) So hopefully we have a 10 year.
23. Did you have a job while in high school? I cleaned rooms at a Bed and Breakfast in Sterling. I also tested cows with my Uncle Corey and Aunt Arleen. (No...this does NOT mean we had to stick a glove-covered arm down the cows rear parts (this is the one question I was asked by everyone when I told them about this job)...we took samples of the cows milk and recorded data.)
24. Worst class? Trigonometry....I DON'T GET IT...
25.Favorite class? I didn't really have a favorite..I liked them all pretty much equally...but I sure enjoyed the classes that had a certain someone in them (yes, Cam, that's YOU)

I tag: Shyanne, Reesa, Arleen, Kasha, Amy...and whoever has the desire to talk about their high school experience.

Oh, SOOO Crafty

CRAFTS are the BEST...
Especially when they are FREE!

My sister-in-law, Shannon, gave me this Magnent board for Christmas.
Before:

Last night was full of crafty fun when I painted, glued, tied, stamped, and sanded the board into this:

This little beauty will proudly display my very detailed 2-week menu. (Maybe if I see the menu every day, I'll stick to it...)

***NOTE TO SELF*** - When creating beautiful art like this magnent board you just finished, always, Always, ALWAYS check the back for the initial nail-hanging holes BEFORE gluing the bow on front....This will prevent you from buying and installing new nail hangers because you glued everything on upside down.

12:17 PM...

Happenings at 12:17pm at the Clark's residence:

With burp rag ready on shoulder, Brayden says:

"I wanna hold it."

...to which I reply:

"You can hold her when I finish feeding her."

....and Brayden says:

"I wanna hold it. Please?"

AND LATER...

Pictured here is Aydrie working on her newest and most IMPRESSIVE skill:

Spitting! (sometimes we even see some bubbles)

What a LADY...

ALL ABOUT CAM

Answer the questions about your sweetheart…

*What is your husband’s name? Cameron Joe Clark

*How long have you been married? 4 years on April 9th!

*How long did you date? couple months before his mission and 3.5 months after his mission

*How old is he? 25

*Who eats more sweets? ME...no, wait....yah, me.

*Who said I love you first? Cam...and my reply was "Are you sure? You don't have to say that." A couple weeks later I hit him up with a big "I THINK I love you."

*Who is taller? Cam...6'3.5"

*Who can sing best? Me...I think

*Who is smarter? Cam...he loves all that Chemistry, Math, Biology stuff (he'll be a great Pharmacist). I am better at English.

*Who does laundry? Me...not because he can't or won't...it's cause I LOVE doing Laundry. It's my second Love.

*Who pays bills? I write the checks and seal the envelopes. He buys stamps and mails the envelopes...We both budget together once a week.

*Who sleeps on the right hand side? Cam...the right side is closer to Aydrie's bassinet....so who ever sleeps on that side has to put her Binky in her mouth every time she fusses....yah, I planned this.

*Who mows the lawn? Our cousins who live upstairs, who own the lawn.

*Who cooks dinner? In the past it was Wendy's, Arby's, MacDonald's...whoever sounded the best...now that we decided to be healthy, I usually cook something...okay, sometimes Little Caesars helps us out.

*Who drives? Cam...I can make it to Walmart and back. He knows I would get lost without him.

*Who is first to admit they are wrong? Cameron. Another reason I love him...
*Who kissed who first? He kissed me first. He says I denied him the first time he tried. NOT TRUE.

*Who asked who out first? I asked him to 'hang out'. That was fun. Then I asked him to hang out some more. More fun. Then I asked him again...he finally got the hint I was into him and he asked me out.

*Who wears the pants? Me on most things...but he can hold his own...especially when it comes to going to Walmart.

LOVE YOU, CAM! I REALLY WOULD BE LOST WITHOUT YOU!

I tag all you lovely ladies who want to brag about your second half.

If You're Happy And You Know It.......Tell Everybody!

Oh my GOODNESS! What an AmAzInG day. Nothing extraordinary happened, but what a great day! First of all, Cameron was home ALL day because he passed his test on Friday so he gets today off.

We started the day by sleeping in (Well, as much sleeping in as one can get with a 2 year old and 3 month old).

Then while I was getting ready for the day, my sweet husband picked up the house. We left for Walmart (needed milk!!!) and while there, we bought a year's worth of one meal for our food storage....and we spent less than our food storage monthly allowance! I LOVE it when I spend less than I expected. So, happy feel-goods for that! Then we tracted down a Walgreen's that will let Cam work for FREE in the summer time! Yep, more happy feel-goods from Cam.
We picked up some Sonic (Limeades...yum...that's all I'm gonna say) and went to a park. Brayden loves to slide. Because of the cold, we usually take him to Arctic Circle's slides. However, today was a B E A Utiful day. So to the park we went. Seeing my children having fun = happy feel-goods.

(Yes...this is Aydrie's type of fun)

Also, watching my studly husband be a kid with my kids = complete happiness!

I LOVE this guy SOOOO much! No...he is not sleeping on my cheek..that's a juicy kiss.

After the park, it was nap time for the kids and P90X time for Cam and I. WHAT A WORKOUT...and as you probably know, exercising = more feel-goods. Cam made an awesome HEALTHY dinner while I prepared for Family Night. And for Family Night we were uplifted with stories of peach trees, made our own paper peach tree, and then for dessert (and NO - this is NOT the most important part of Family Night) we had peaches! (FHE came from January Ensign...LOVE LOVE LOVE this magazine).

So being spiritual with Fam = you guessed it, more feel-goods! We wrapped up the night by doing dishes and Cam played basketball with friends in American Fork. We'll see how he did when he gets home.

Yep, a HAPPY day! Hope you have a happy day soon!

Happy Birthday, Jason!

Today is my older brother's birthday. The big 26! He is amazing and this is why:
*He works hard to support his sweet wife and 2 girls.
*He will share ANYTHING and EVERYTHING with EVERYBODY.
*He served as a soldier in Iraq for a year.
*He is ready with a listening ear.
*He's very talented with building things...and taking things apart and putting them back together (he fixed up our stereo and TV together...THANKS!)
....I could keep going! He is awesome and I don't tell him enough. So, thanks Jason for being a great brother. Hope you had a great birthday! I love you.

Crazy enough, this is the most recent picture I have of Jason and his family...it was taken right before he left for Iraq in June 2007.....hmmm....I need updated pictures.

P90X...OUCH!!!!!!!

Well, we are almost through our first week of P90X and Cam and I cannot move without feeling some PAIN! I actually like the pain because I feel like I'm accomplishing something. However, it would be nice to burp Aydrie or pick up Brayden without the constant ache in my arms, back, stomach, legs...etc. The best thing about P90X is working out with Cam. We've never exercised together before now. Cam would usually weight lift with one of my brothers and I would do exercise videos and run on the treadmill. It has been so much fun doing this together...and it sure is a lot easier to get out of bed at 5:30 in the morning when we are both getting up!
So far we have been impressed with P90X...yah, the Yoga was a little different (we've never done Yoga before) but it was still a workout!
Only 86 days left to go!

Here's Brayden modeling our new pull-up bar. It is now one of his most favorite 'toys'.

There is a tricky part to working out together...who's going to take care of the kids if they wake up? Our second day into P90X Brayden did wake up while we were doing some crazy Cardio stuff...but, instead of needing our attention he decided to join us. He saw that we were wearing shoes so he grabbed his (notice they don't match). In this picture he is running in circles around the pair of pants on the floor (which was the action we were all doing). So it actually hasn't been a problem trying to exercise with the kids awake. It makes for some really great laughs!

3 Month Old Aydrie

Aydrie is 3 months old today! I know everybody says this but WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE? She used to be tiny, but not anymore! Everybody says she looks like Brayden. I agree...but she still has her own look.
Aydrie is starting to smile a lot now. She doesn't 'talk' too much yet, but when she does, it's so fun! Brayden even tries to get her to 'talk'. She's sleeping through the night now - YEAH!
Something kind of different....when she cries, sucks on her hands, or even sometimes when she's sleeping, her hands are in tight fists with her thumbs sticking inbetween her pointer finger and middle finger.
Anyway, we love our kids! We're so blessed to have them both.

Something Cute and Something Fun

After all the holiday fun, we are now back in the swing of things. Cam has started school and loving it (ha ha) and me and the kids are back to our regular schedule at home. We hope all of you had a great New Year's. We sure did!

We spent New Years with my family. We had a blast playing games and eating food (Brayden ate so much junk that he threw up...). My sister introduced us to a really fun game...Partini....I think that's what it is called. We liked it so much we are thinking about buying it. We stayed extra long for my sister/bro in law's baby blessing on Sunday. He sure was a handsome little guy! Then Cam came home for school on Monday and me and the kids stayed at my fam's house for a doctor's appt. on Monday. Because of all the snow storms, we didn't come home until Wednesday. My awesome dad brought us all the way home! He is such a great dad. He will do anything to make sure we are all safe and happy. And thanks mom for taking care of us! We love you guys!
(Sorry....no pictures of the weekend)

So, SOMETHING FUN....Cam and Brayden built a fort in our living room today. Brayden didn't really understand what Cam was trying to build. He must have thought the fort was something to jump on because he jumped off the couch onto the fort. When the fort was complete, we lounged underneath it and watched Monster's Inc. I'm so glad Cam takes time out of his busy and stressful day to be with his family. He has a lot on his plate....studying, passing tests, work, church calling, and family responsibilities. And he somehow makes time for it all! We are so blessed to have him!

And SOMETHING CUTE....Aydrie in her "farmer's outfit" and Brayden being a big helper! What great kids we have!
