Pizza Party

This is the newest member of our OUTDOOR equipment:

Brayden LOVES it...

Aydrie HATES it...

Cam put it together (well, unfolded it - thanks to the ease of modern inventions) and hooked it to his bike.
We fastened the kids in.
Apparently Aydrie didn't like being strapped in...she screamed.

And screamed...

...and screamed some more.

We started out on what was supposed to be something we like to call 'Little Caesar's Pizza Picnic at the PARK!'
We made it down the driveway and halfway up the hill that leads to our house...

Cam wanted to die...

And that's when I realized we forgot our Little Caesar's Pizza.

And then Cam did indeed about die...

And Aydrie screamed...

and screamed...

and Yes, MORE screaming from Aydrie.

...I don't think she UNDERSTOOD that we were going to the PARK to eat PIZZA!

We turned around and went back to the garage, unstrapped TWO screaming children - Brayden didn't want the fun to end, and Aydrie had experienced all the fun she could handle.

NO WORRIES...

We completed our Little Caesar's Pizza Party around our kitchen table.

We'll try it again.

SOON!

Crazy Busy Week

This last week was CRAZY busy...
Lots of suprises...
Some good news...
No bad news...
Many fun times...
Not too many sad times...
New stuff...
And some cute stuff...

Let me show you...

Brayden experienced the PURE JOY that comes from freezing water shooting out of one small sprinkler head.

Aydrie caught a few rays - but those rays did NOTHING to her skin because she was lathered in Sunscreen from head to tippy-toe!

Cam also enjoyed one or two runs through the sprinkler and then basked in the warmth of the sun.

I tried to stay dry - not an easy task when your soaking-wet 2 year old wants to be held because he's freezing...

I'm HAPPY - no, ECSTATIC - to report that this mini stud muffin is COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED - I'd say it's about time! It's been a 6-month process. We now go outside, to the store, ride in the car, to bed...EVERYWHERE in underwear.
Finally - we've bought our last package of diapers (for him, at least.)

Aydrie had her 6 month doctor's appointment (a little late - she's 7.5 months old now). She weighed in at 18.85 lbs (79%), measured 28.5in long (98%), and is growing some GIAGANTIC and SMART brains...her head measured in the 98%!
She's almost crawling, almost sits by herself, almost has teeth, almost likes green beans (not really), and almost likes to sleep through the night - don't worry, what sleep she misses at night, she makes up for at random places and times through out the day.

Cam brought forth is ROMANTIC and CHARMING side when he bounded through the door after work and said 'Pack your bags - but wait, let me call your mom first.' After my mom agreed to babysit, we packed and were out the door within an hour (that's a surprise all by itself!) He took me to Yardley's Inn in Manti for the night and then, just to be adventerous and a little on the extreme side, we went to Richfield the next night. We enjoyed their Pizza Hut and their movie theater.
Fun times.
We took the liberty of modeling the Yardley's Inn room and it's many exquisite features for you:
Here's the Mormon wine (Sparkling Apple Cider) we enjoyed - especially Cam. We drank from heart-shaped wine gobblets!

Cam modeling the bed and TV - you can't see the TV, but it's there. This chandelier and view was above the bed. WOW

The amazing TUB

And here I am modeling a view of our room with the very impressive closed-eye look.

Yep - fun times.

And, just in case you forgot how Stinkin' GOOD-LOOKING our kids are, here's a reminder. ha ha

Family Adventure

We ventured outside to the backyard last week.
After 4 hours of GLORIOUS work, our GARDEN is now in the ground!
This is a first for both of us...
Of course we had many WONDERFUL opportunities to weed and help in our families' gardens when we were younger...
But this is our first time creating our own.
I get a sense of satisfaction knowing we are a little more independent...

We'll both be surprised and ELATED if something - ANYTHING - grows.

Cam worked the shovel...

While posing for an EXCELLENT shot of his backside.

Brayden helped spread the dirt - over the garden area, over the grass area, and on the rocks.

Model pose...

So happy to be working

Aydrie occupied herself in her chair...

And later, turned circles in the grass (not crawling yet, but can maneuver quite well).

It was an adventure not to be forgotten!
