3

My boy turned the AWESOME 3 on the 19th...

It's hard to grasp the fact that 3 years ago we were rushing to Gunnison Hospital - and when I say rushing, I mean a cop pulled us over en route and was ready to give us a good scolding (that included dollar amounts) until Cam quickly explained the situation. After seeing me the cop decided that Cam's story was indeed true, and he let us go with a "good luck" and "drive safe".

Funny, HUH?

We did arrive at the hospital safe. We stated our reason for visiting the hospital that night, and the kind nurses whisked us away, down the hall, and into the same room that my mother had given birth to my youngest brother 20 days before. AWESOME...

I won't go into detail of the procedures that then took place to get Brayden here...but I will tell you - FUN STUFF!

Four hours later, out popped Brayden. Words cannot describe how I felt when the nurse laid him in my arms for the first time...I wanted to cry (and I'm not a crier) and I wanted to cuss the blasted IV in my arm that was prohibiting full cuddling ability.

But I didn't. No cussing allowed.

He's always been my 'baby doll' and nobody else can be my 'baby doll'....Aydrie is my 'pretty girl'.

These pictures are of Brayden at 2 months...there would be more of him at different ages buuuuuttttt it takes FOR-EV-ER to upload pics off CDs....probably because I don't know how to do it the right way...so here you go...Brayden at 2 months...

It's been an adventure raising him...
MANY great times - like when he was littler, and would smile when ever I caught his eye...and when he shows so much excitement when running down a hill...and when he says his prayers...
Some SCARY times - like when he stuck his hand in the bowling ball return (while it was running)...and when he fell out of the Walmart cart and landed on his forehead...
Some sad times - like when he was little and would cry and I didn't know how to help him...and when he was 2 months, I had to leave him everyday to go to work.

Yes - ADVENTURES! And we can't wait for more....more of the fun ones, anyway!

His birthday turned into a weekend-long event. Aydrie was sick - still don't know what was wrong with her. Doctors couldn't figure it out either.

When she looks like this...

Then my kitchen looks like this...

And nothing happens - no cake-making, house-cleaning, etc... only some sweet cuddling time...my favorite.

The day was not completely birthday-less...family stopped by and visited. And we continued the fun in Sterling over the weekend.

I made his cake later...

It's NOT an 8 cake....it's a race-car track cake.

I know, AWESOME!

Brayden had fun.

And he's getting really good at showing 3 fingers when asked how old he is...

Happy Birthday, Buddy!

WE LOVE YOU!

It seems like yesterday when all the young couples in the ward were all expecting about the same time! Time goes by so quickly. I hope he had a wonderful Birthday!
I laughed at some of your mini stories. It brought back memories of Ben when he was younger too.

3 years! It's amazing!

If Aydrie has no symptoms except a fever, have her urine tested. It could be a urinary tract infection. Mira's had three of those!
