This is how the Christmas Corner came to be:
The boys in the house assembled the three tree pieces...
The girls decorated...
While this boy enjoyed time spent in this large box...
And this girl shed a few tears because it was way more entertaining to attempt to destroy the carefully hand-crafted white and blue 'snowballs' rather than place them oh-so-nicely on the tree....and mom wasn't very pleased...and the said 'snowballs' were moved out of the said adorable girl's tiny reach...
And now, to keep the Christmas Corner intact, a table chair/banana chair/rocking chair/end table gate is constructed EVERY day...
But it's worth it....because I could sit in the Christmas Corner all day and watch the pretty lights flicker on and off...
And Aydrie could also sit in the Christmas Corner all day and eat ornaments, smash 'snowballs', and unwrap presents...which might happen in the very near future....She just learned how to FLIP, head first, over the said gate to get to the tree...
Aydrie understands the Christmas Corner:
It's MAGICAL...
And now Cam is smirking and rolling his eyes...
Other activities we've participated in that have helped RING in the upcoming Season:
Ward Christmas party
...don't judge....I'm about 6 months pregnant here...
Playing in the snow
...for only 7 1/2 MINUTES....Brayden enjoyed seeing his footprints all over...and it was just long enough for me to kick a trail to our front door.
Christmas Shopping (love it!)
...this was Cam's face when we were done...
We Love LoVe LOVE this time of year!

Love your tree/ corner! Congrats on having another girl. I mostly think ours is a girl but doubt it a little. Only 6 weeks to go! I feel really good. How are you feeling?
Oh the test was to see if blogger was working correctly. I just didn't delete it before everyone commented on it so now I guess I will leave it :) Maybe I should turn it into a real post.
your christmas corner looks awesome. i love your ball decorations! isnt it funny that the kids just love to take everything off the tree and get into all the presents. it makes me laugh. i love going to peoples house and seeing the bottom half of the tree empty.
I think the Christmas corner is great! I don't really know where the blog went, but you can look her up on etsy under the same name. If you can't find her let me know she is my cousin (well Brian's).
that safty fence so creative!! love the christmas corner
love the tree, the fence of chairs are a very nice touch ;)
he, he, he, he..... loved the GATE to the Christmas tree. I so remember those days, and I kinda miss them. My problem now is not the kids, but the cat. He climbs the tree and throws all the ornaments down. The cat is winning this game. The glass balls 0 the cat 10. I think there are only 3 left. I'm sure by Christmas they will all be gone. He also gets all the snowmen off and bats them allover the house. When you try to get them back from him he growls at you. A never ending battle. I have decided to have a messed up tree this year and not worry about it. Unless, a wonderfully crafted gate would keep the darn thing out. What do you think?????
when are you coming down again???
What a beautiful Christmas Corner!
