Back at it.

Here we are...back at it again...it's about time, right!?
One of the reasons I am blogging again is because I want to have a journal of our days...the kids love looking at our history, I love it...I think Cam loves it...
and since I'm not a scrapbook-er or even a print-the-pics-off-the-camera-chip-er, blogging and then printing off blog books seems the best way to go.
So here we go.
(Another reason may be that I convinced Cam I needed a new computer so I could blog...he hesitantly agreed and I'm now here proving I didn't tell a fib)

Date Night #2: Architect Nerds
I asked out this Hottie for a date. My original plan was to have a friendly competition of computer games...changed my plans last minute. We put our building skills to work and created food structures. The whole process came naturally... I'm wondering why Cam didn't choose architecture as a profession...

A List...

A List...(of big events from the past, present, and future)

1. Cam graduated pharmacy school in June. He successfully passed the two pharmacy tests. He is now floating (working at a plethora of stores to get 40 hours) for Walmart. Wow...didn't seem like we would see this day.
2. We are waiting for a full-time job to open up....then we can buy a house and I'll have insurance for baby #4 - due in September. We are waiting...very non-patient like.
3. We are having a baby girl in the middle of September. Very excited.
4. Girl names we like: BreElle and Jocelynn.
5. Brayden starts kindergarten in August. Not sure how I feel about this.
6. My brother Ryan is getting married in 3 weeks to the cutest girl. We share the same name (kinda)....maybe that's why I like her so much. ha ha
7. I lost our camera battery charger. No battery charger = no working battery = no pictures of the last few months...sad. (and no pictures for this post...also sad.)
8. Aydrie changes clothes 4 billion times a day...this makes for a lot of laundry...thank goodness laundry is something I LOVE to do...
9. Our favorite shows as of late: White Collar, Covert Affairs, Design Star, anything HGTV
10. Speaking of HGTV...we were pretty bummed when we learned that we did NOT win the Green Home, GMC car, and $100,000. Maybe next year.
11. My sister Kasha and Sis-in-law Tawnie both had babies in the last few months. Both girls and both adorable.
12. Me and the kids spend our days doing school, cleaning, and venturing outside when it's not too hot.
13. Cam spends almost all his days at Walmart...On his days off, we visit different parks, splash parks, visit family, and find new places to go for walks (which he hates and I love).

So,there you have it - a lot going on - more to be happening soon.
We'll just wait.
And wait.
Patiently.

Simple Fun - Carl's Jr.

After Cam returned home from work on Saturday (a few weeks ago), we loaded the kids up and headed out, in search of a place that could satisfy our want for food and fun. Because the kids have never played at McDonald's before, it was the pre-planned destination. However, after driving past Carl's Jr. and seeing their ginormous play area, Cam, being the skillful city-driver he is, made a sudden, very tight turn into their parking lot and parked next to the one-other-vehicle in the place.

We ordered food...
And ate the food...
And watched the kids play and laugh.
Nothing better than seeing your kids enjoy something so simple.


The kids did NOT eat their food. They did make use of the play area, though.

After a smacked head on the floor and an entire cup of lemonade dumped on the same floor, we headed back home.

So simple, yet so fun.

Date Night #1 - Drive In

One of our New Year's Goals is to do a date night EVERY week. Most of these dates will be at home, after the kids have drifted off to dream land.

So, being the goal-driven, resolution-keeping people that we are, we went on our first date of the new year to the Drive In.
The date was planned by Cameron.

First, he gave me a note that read:

Hey Hott Stuff,
Let's see your hott car.
I hope you can jive with me
at the Drive In.

He produced several cardboard boxes(most were rescued from the recycling bin outside), paper plates, paper, tape, and markers and instructed me to create a car in 20 minutes. It was slow-going at first. But after watching Cam hard at work, my inner Henry Ford kicked in, and we created works-of-art!

With the helpful judging scores from our upstairs neighbors, my van won first place....all because of the MODEST Hawaiian Hula-Doll on the dash of my 70's-look-a-like van.

(Those things on Cam's car that look like bug antennae are actually windshield wipers. He created AWESOME wheels...)

The Drive In was our next stop. We parked our cars in the living room...



...and then I got to cuddle with this HOTT STUFF while we watched the movie 'Charlie St. Cloud' and ate Trail Mix and Wheat Thins. (We didn't really like the show....kinda weird.)


Yes....I'd say it was a successful first date.

After a doctor's visit, 2 filled prescriptions, and lots of rocking, cuddling, and wiping of the eyes/nose area, these girls are back at it.





Happy As Can Be.

And that makes a happy mother.
And as Cameron would say, a happy mother makes a
